My Story

About Monica

I was born in Uruguay, a small country in South America, and grew up admiring my mother’s amazing work.

She used antique curtains and tablecloths to design beautiful wedding dresses, which would come from her boundless imagination. She developed a whole art of her own. I truly admire her for that. While she was busy designing, she let me play with the fabrics. I used to make clothes for my dolls. I think crating is part of my DNA. I always loved colors, stones, and necklaces; to me, a great necklace is all it takes to make a great statement—or to turn a simple black dress into a stylish party outfit in no time.

When I started making necklaces, I did it for myself, but soon all my friends started asking me to design unique pieces for them. One day I told my husband and my son that I had a wish-- to present my work to the world. And here I am, with the help of my family.

I want you to know every necklace is unique, a one-of–a-kind piece of art. Most of the time, I don’t even know the names of the gems that I use because what matters for me is the way they look together. I love to mix gems, crystals, and pearls. When I’m designing, I feel the harmony of it all. Every necklace is created and made by me here in New York. Whenever I travel with my husband, I always buy gems to create more necklaces. This is what I love to do, and sharing my work with you makes me very happy.
